Structure of The Blog

In January of 2019 I created this blog with 1 simple goal in mind: I wanted to read more. The strategy for reading more was through Call Me Emilio, a website where I could hold myself accountable to family and friends by keeping myself on a schedule of reading and writing weekly reflections. As explained in my blog post, “A Lesson in Failure”, I didn’t quite keep to the schedule as diligently as I had hoped I would, but, I did accomplish my general goal that I had in January of 2019. I read more. A LOT more.

Although the original structure of this blog was in weekly reflections, now it is quite more free-form. Whenever I finish a book that I really enjoy, I’ll be sure to write up one reflection about it, or two, or three. I’ll try to write on articles I see as well. If I had riveting discussion with one of my friends, I’ll be sure to write about that as well. Any topic I’m struggling with or trying to figure out: that will go up here.

The title for this page is quite ironic. In reality, there is no structure to this blog. It is, put quite simply, my outlet and therapist as I make my way down these turbulent college years.
